WHAT WE BELIEVE
Secona Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist church that believes and adheres to the Baptist Faith and Message (2000). We believe in all of the core doctrines of Scripture that define our God as maker of everything as Creator; that Jesus Christ is His Son born of a virgin; that Jesus lived a sinless life and died for the sins of all mankind; that Jesus was buried for three days and rose again; that Jesus is alive today and will come again to redeem and restore.
Scripture
Scripture is the Word of God breathed out to us. It is through Scripture that we derive our beliefs and through which we come to know God. Scripture is what defines every practical element of our lives: Gender, Marriage, Social Issues, Creation, etc.
Worship
God calls His people to gather together in order to worship. Worship is essential for the believer to be connected to other believers and to grow in faith. At Secona we offer various avenues to worship with people of all ages.
The Great Commission
Jesus commands his followers to "Go and make disciples" in his parting words on earth. We believe at Secona that The Great Commission is our calling as believers to bring the Gospel to those outside of our walls who still need Jesus.
